School Closings and Delays

In the event of inclement weather, or any other emergency condition, it may be necessary for the opening of school to be delayed, or for school to be delayed, or for the school to be closed. Parents are, therefore, requested to listen to the following radio stations for any such announcement.

Early Dismissal

Once the day has begun, Westchester Exceptional Children's School will not make a decision for early dismissal. However, your local district has the prerogative of deciding to pick up their students early, as it has responsibility for transportation to and from school. As WEC has students from more than 36 districts, it is not possible for the school to individually notify parents of such closings. Your local district, if any, will make the notification.
